Honor Society
The KiMS chapter of NJHS is a student-run organization with leadership officers elected by the membership at the first Chapter Meeting. Members participate in community service projects sponsored by the organization, provide collegiality, motivation, and support in the pursuit of the highest of standards.
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character—all characteristics of the organization since its beginning in 1929.
KiMS Honor Society is open to all 7th and 8th grade students who meet the criteria and fully complete the application by the due date.
Starting in February, after Semester 1 grades, eligible applicants will receive an email from Mr. Tiffany with the application. Students who meet the academic criteria (3.5 GPA or higher), and receive a staff recommendation, are encouraged to apply.
Staff members evaluate applications to determine eligibility based on five separate criteria: leadership, service, citizenship, activities, and academics.
